At the kind invitation of the Zanardi Landi Foundation, H.E. Mr. Abdullah bin Jassim Al Zeyara, Consul General of the State of Qatar in Milan, attended the celebration marking one thousand years since the founding of Rivalta Castle and the Church of San Martino in the Piacenza area.
Rivalta Castle is located in the village of the same name, near the city of Piacenza in northern Italy. Dating back to the 11th century, it is considered one of the best-preserved castles in Italy. It is distinguished by its majestic architecture and historical halls, which tell the story of Italian nobility through the ages. Since the 19th century, the castle has been owned by the Zanardi Landi family, who still maintain it today.
Next to the castle stands the Church of San Martino, which also dates back to the 11th century. It is known for its red brick façade and its peaceful, spiritual atmosphere.
Together, the castle and the church create a true masterpiece of history and architecture, embodying the charm of a traditional Italian village in the Trebbia Valley.
