In light of a number of recent incidents involving theft and pickpocketing affecting some Qatari tourists, the Consulate strongly advises paying close attention to luggage and personal belongings, avoiding the carrying of large sums of cash, and keeping official documents in secure places, particularly in crowded areas, on public transportation, and in tourist locations. It is also recommended to park vehicles only in supervised or secured parking areas
